Citrus City Grille has closed its doors at the Riverside Plaza. The parent company of the restaurant, C C G Riverside, Inc., had been the subject of an eviction proceeding initiated by the operator of the Riverside Plaza, according to court records.
The restaurant appeared to cease operations on Monday afternoon, and on Tuesday people were seen moving property from the restaurant. The restaurant was at one time owned, in part, by Steve Tsirtsis. Tsirtsis is listed as active member of the corporation, according to the California Secretary of State.
Citrus City Grille has been a fixture on Main Street at the Riverside Plaza– with its patio seating bordered by metallic wedges designed to look like orange slices.
A sign on the building Tuesday suggests the restaurant will reopen in downtown Riverside. Carol Scott, general manager of the Riverside Plaza, confirms that the business has closed. “We are very close to a deal with a well respected chain restaurant operator,” said Scott.

(I’m also curious about the incoming chain… I hope it’s BJs or something that sort of awesome.)
