Woman crashes into power pole on Mission Boulevard in Rubidoux

On Tuesday, August 17,  California Highway Patrol officers arrested Sherri L. Couch, 50, of Riverside, on charges of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Just after 8:00 p.m., officers were called to Hunter Street, north of Mission Boulevard in Rubidoux, after receiving a report of a 1998 Ford Expedition crashing into a power pole.

Officers closed Hunter Street from Mission Boulevard to Roberts Way in both directions for approximately six hours until Southern California Edison could repair the damaged box and the vehicle could be removed.

Couch was arrested for DUI with additional pending charges of driving with a suspended drivers license and having no proof of insurance.

The incident is still under investigation.
