On Saturday, September 4, Calico Ghost Town, located off the I-15 between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, will be celebrating the summer’s end by offering an outdoor movie showing, as well as live music and other activities.

At nighttime, families can enjoy an outdoor movie presentation called Movies on the Rocks, consisting of a series of animated and live-action short films that will be projected right on the rocks. Calico will also show the action film “3:10 to Yuma” on a jumbo screen in the Silver Bowl area.

“This is something very special for this area and it will give locals as well as tourists to our park an opportunity to experience films in a vastly different setting. The children are sure to enjoy watching cartoons and shorts projected right onto the rocks!” said Keith Lee, Director of San Bernardino County Regional Parks, in a press release.

The Calico House Restaurant will be offering a $9.95 chicken dinner special ($7.95 for children 12 and under) as well as their buffet. Parking will be $10 throughout the day, and there will be no additional admission fee for the evening event.

Guests are encouraged to bring low-back lawn chairs and blankets for the movie screenings.
