Man attacked at Riverside Burger King on University Avenue

News headline from the Riverside Sheriff’s Department:

On August 24, at approximately 6:35 p.m., officers of the Riverside Police Department responded to a just occurred strong arm robbery at 2167 University Avenue.

To the rear of Burger King, officers located an adult male suffering from injuries to his head. He told officers an adult male took money from him by force and used his fists to injure him.  The victim was later transported to Riverside Community Hospital listed in stable condition for his injuries.

A possible suspect was found a few blocks away on Kansas Avenue.  The victim was able to positively identify the detained suspect, who was on active parole for robbery.   Daniel Arredondo, 23, of Riverside. was arrested for robbery and violation of parole.
