People in Riverside who are already actively involved in some kind of neighborhood improvement program are encouraged to apply. Participation in the Academy is free, but only 36 applicants will be selected.
Workshop topics include “What kind of leader are you?”, “A vision for your neighborhood”, “Presentation skills and meeting management”, “Neighborhood organizing and action planning”, “Cultural and generational diversity”, and more.
The Academy’s meetings will be held at the Janet Goeske Center for eight consecutive Thursdays: September 16 through November 4, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
