Eastvale news headline from the Riverside Sheriff’s Department:

On Friday, August 20, at about 11:50 p.m. deputies from the Jurupa Sheriff’s Station responded to a residence in the 13000 Block of Blue Ribbon Lane in Eastvale, regarding a call of “shots fired”. At the location, deputies found an adult male suffering in the front yard with an apparent gunshot wound.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and attempted to treat the victim. The victim, 19, who died at the scene and was pronounced dead at 11:59 p.m.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. An autopsy is pending.

The Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit, with the assistance of detectives from the Jurupa Sheriff’s Station are conducting the investigation.

Due to the ongoing investigation, no more information will be released at this time.
