Riverside DUI checkpoint at Arlington Avenue west of Capistrano Way

Riverside news from the Riverside Police Department:

On Friday, August 20, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. officers from ABC, Corona Police Department, Riverside Police Department, and the University of California Riverside Police Department conducted a DUI/Driver’s
License checkpoint on Arlington Avenue west of Capistrano Way in the City of Riverside.

In addition to enforcing traffic laws the Department’s police officers and police services representatives assisted fifteen families with the proper installation of their child safety seats.

1549 Vehicles Passed Through the Checkpoint
1529 Vehicles Were Screened
3 Suspects Were Arrested for DUI
1 Minor Was Arrested for Possession of Alcohol
1 Suspect Was Arrested for Possession of Drugs
1 Suspect Was Arrested for an Outstanding Warrant
70 Citations Issued
43 Vehicles Impounded
39 Unlicensed or Suspended License Drivers Sent to Court
