Teens arrested for golf cart thefts in Canyon Lake

On Monday, August 9, officers from the Canyon Lake Police Department launched an investigation regarding golf cart thefts around the city after arresting a 17-year-old Canyon Lake resident for driving a stolen golf cart.

On Tuesday, August 10, members of the Special Enforcement Team learned that another golf cart had been stolen from Canyon Lake and later sold on the web site Craig’s List. Team members recovered the golf cart and returned it to its owner.

The investigation led to the arrest of Canyon Lake residents, Tanner Gorham and Martin Talbot, each 18, as well as a 17-year-old male of Menifee who was involved in the theft.
