City of Arts & Innovation, indeed!
On Saturday, August 28, at around 5:45 p.m., the California Riverside Ballet will be leading what they hope will be a record
number of Southern Californians in doing Michael Jackson’s famous “Thriller” dance.
The event will take place in front of the Riverside County Courthouse on Main Street. It’s free and everyone is invited.
Additional events, such as a Michael Jackson costume contest and guest appearances by Jackson dancers, begin at 4:00 p.m.
At 5:00 p.m., a dance class to learn the steps to “Thriller” will be offered. The class will be led by BJ Brasier, a professional
choreographer who worked alongside Jackson. Dance experience is not required.
Everyone is asked to come in costume, either as Michael Jackson, a zombie, or simply wearing a Jackson T-shirt.
