Security video leads to arrest of suspect in BBVA Compass Bank robbery

Riverside news headline from the Riverside Police Department:

On Thursday August 26, robbery/homicide detectives from the Riverside Police Department, and members of the Riverside Police Department’s METRO Team, arrested Zachary Clark, 22, of Riverside, for robbery.

On Wednesday August 25, Zachary Clark entered BBVA Compass Bank in, Riverside, and showed the teller a note demanding cash. Clark received the cash and fled from the bank. Clark was out on bail at the time of this robbery and had committed two previous robberies at the same location.

Detectives from the Riverside Police Department were able to identify Clark after viewing the bank’s video footage.

Zachary Clark was arrested June 10, 2010 in Port Aransas, Texas for committing six separate bank robberies within Riverside. The past robberies occurred March 29 through May 29, 2010. In each incident Clark passed a note to the bank teller demanding cash.

Zachary Clark will be charged with one new count of robbery, and one count of committing a crime while out on bail.
