A small earthquake happened Saturday, July 31, at 8:14 a.m.. It was 2.4 in magnitude, according to the USGS. The epicenter was Anza, in the Riverside County desert. It was preceded by a smaller 1.8 magnitude quake at 8:05 a.m.
There have been no reports of damage.
Anza is 25 miles from Palm Springs.
