DUI suspects arrested by surprise in Lake Elsinore

Lake Elsinore news headline from the Riverside Sheriff’s Department:

On June 16th, Lake Elsinore officers conducted a driving while impaired warrant sweep at locations across the city. Officers attempted to serve 30 active warrants for the arrest of DUI drivers. The goal of the operation was to locate and arrest local residents with active warrants stemming from an arrest for DUI.

Many of the wanted persons sought have multiple DUI warrants. All persons arrested under this program were booked into the Southwest Detention Center.

During the operation five residents were located, arrested and removed from their place of work or residence and transported to jail.

Arrested during the operation:

Jose Anaya , 44 of Lake Elsinore
Kimberly Mayernik, 42 of Lake Elsinore
Kamil Lepka, 25 of Lake Elsinore
Katrina Maxwell, 52 of Lake Elsinore
John Burgess, 39 of Lake Elsinore

The police department will continue to periodically commit resources to apprehend persons wanted for impaired driving offenses.
