Senate healthcare debate begins

The U.S. Senate opened debate Monday on a broad healthcare overhaul, President Barack Obama’s top domestic priority.

Congressman Ken Calvert was among the Republicans and some Democrats who voted against H.R. 3962. The bill to revamp the United States health care system has been the subject of intense debate. For many politicians facing election campaigns it’s highly political.
