williamstegmann.jpg William Gregg Stegmann 64, of Hemet, CA, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009. He was born 03/25/1945 in LA and resided in Hemet, CA for the past 4 years.

CPT Stegemann, a highly decorated Helicopter Pilot in the US Army, valiantly served in Vietnam under the 1st Cav Div. and was honored with the nation’s 3rd highest award, The Silver Star. Among the many other medals were the Distinguished Flying Cross(s), Bronze Star, Purple Hearts, multiple Air Medals, Army Commendation, Nat’l Defense Service, Vietnam Service, Republic of Vietnam Campaign, Valorous Unit Awards, Sr Army Aviator badge, VN Gallantry Cross w/Palm and Good Conduct Medal.

Loving memories will be cherished by his wife, Deborah of 27 years; daughters, Shellie, Stacey, Tabitha, Cherie and son Thomas; sister, Sherry; a niece, 3 nephews, 10 grandchildren and Shirley who was like a mother to him.

Burial services will be held with full military honors at Riverside National Cemetery at 10:15 a.m., Wed., September 30.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made for his grandson and hero, Andrew, who suffers from a rare genetic disease, NF2, c/o Deborah Stegemann, P.O.
