Chrysler and Fiat will merge. Obama says Chrysler will file for bankruptcy protection after talks broke down with a small group of the company’s creditors. Some analysts say the bankrupcty may not be as brief as Obama wants, and that it will likely send shock waves through the U.S. auto industry.
