The following information has been provided by the Riverside Police Department:

On Friday, January 30, 2009, detectives from the Riverside Police Department arrested two adult male subjects in connection with the murder of Ruben Rivera which occurred on January 27th, 2009, in the 10300 block of Hole Avenue in Riverside.

Detectives from the Robbery/Homicide and Gang Units followed up on leads that led them to Victor Espudo Ramirez Jr., 26, and his brother Armando Ramirez, 23, both from Riverside. Members of the police department’s SWAT team assisted the investigation with the service of two search warrants in the 4500 block of Jones Avenue and 8900 block of Penny Drive.

Both suspects were taken into custody and booked into Robert Presley Detention Center for murder. The investigation is on-going with possible additional arrests pending.
