Before moving to Kingman, Herb made his home in Riverside, CA with his late wife Johnie Mae Hitt. Herb worked at Rohr Aircraft for 33 years as a supervisor before retiring. Herb remarried in 1993 to Carmen Hitt. They moved to Kingman to build their dream home.
Herb enjoyed his vegetable garden especially growing chilies and making salsa. Herb was a loving and generous husband and father. He considered all children from both marriages as his own. Linda Besch, Barbara Nieblas, Minnie Tofoya, Gloria Cole, Al Diaz, and Lorraine Hammonds. Herb was the grandfather of ten grandchildren and a great grandfather to sixteen great grandchildren.
